Crowns for diastema closure

In patient in whom the teeth are arranged on an excessively wide arch in relation to their form and dimension, distemata will be found. In these case, orthodontic therapy is the first choice for treatment. If this treatment is not accepted by the patient, prosthetic procedure to close or reduce a gap between your teeth can be chosen.

We'd like to introduce 2 clinical cases performed porcelain crowns for diastema closure.

Clinical case 1

The procedure was performed by Dr Vo Van Nhan

Patient: A 50 year old male patient. He whised to close the gap between the anterior teeth on upper and lower jaw. Crowns were made by all ceramic material (crecon)

After check up his teeth, we decided to replace 4 teeth on upper and 6 teeth on lower jaw and then root canal treatment was started on the same time. It take 3 appointments in 2 days for root canal 10 teeth.

In the second days, we prepared the teeth and took impression for final crown. It takes about 2 hours for this procedure.

In this case, we decided do not try frame so after 2 days prepared the teeth, crowns were put on the teeth. The patient returned our office to check occlusion after 1 or 2 days inserting the ceramic crowns. It takes about 5 days to finish his treatment plan.

If orthodontic therapy is not accepted by the patient, prosthetic procedure to close or reduce a gap between your teeth can be chosen.

Clinical case 2

The procedure was performed by Dr Vo Van Nhan

Patient: A 45 year old female patient. She complained of the gap between the anterior on upper teeth and color of teeth. In addition, she also want to adjust the anterior teeth on the lower jaw.

In this case, we decided repalce 6 teeth on upper and 6 teeth on lower jaw. Root canal take 2 appoinments in 1 days and then 4 days after the first appointment, her treatment plan was finished.

The effecitveness of treatment depends on each person's particular health condition
